Don “Doc”Scimonelli

Born and raised in Washington, DC, Don Scimonelli, affectionately known as "Doc," comes from a family deeply rooted in music and education. From an early age, he was immersed in the sounds of guitar and bass, honing his skills in a nurturing environment.

Doc's performance journey began at the prestigious Arena Stage and the National Theatre, where he captivated audiences until the age of 18. Over the years, he has showcased his talent in more than 15 major shows at dinner theaters across the DMV area, earning a reputation as a versatile performer.

In addition to his artistic pursuits, Don has dedicated the past 45 years to the aviation industry, demonstrating a remarkable balance between his professional and musical passions. Music has always been a significant part of his life, with countless performances in various bands and pit orchestras.

Currently, Don is actively involved in music performance management, overseeing house production, lights, sound, and stage management, as well as the crucial logistics of load-in and load-out for bands.

For over a year, he has been a vital member of the Leroy Burks & Voodoo Whiskey Band, contributing his expertise and passion to their musical endeavors.
